Fees

One fee, set by you · Transparent · Never combined

Northmix charges one fee on every Bitcoin mix and crypto tumble, and you set it between 0.1% and 1.5%. There is no per-round surcharge, no per-network surcharge, no minimum-fee trap, no spread, no hidden withdrawal fee. The same scale applies whether you mix BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, LTC, SOL or BNB, and regardless of how many rounds or how long a delay you select. The full mixing flow is on the how it works page.

Service fee

The service fee is fixed at 1.5% of the gross amount — the amount you enter, before any network fee is considered. The fee is deducted from your payout, not added on top. You never pay out of pocket to Northmix; you only pay the 1.5% from the coins you are already mixing.

Network fee

The estimated network fee is the cost of broadcasting the deposit and payout transactions on the selected network. It is fetched separately from the data layer and displayed as its own line item. The network fee is set by miners or validators, not by Northmix, and varies by network and congestion.

Net amount

The estimated net amount is computed as:

net = gross − service fee − network fee

Service fee and network fee are never merged into a single unexplained figure. Each component is shown on its own line so the user can verify the calculation before confirming.

How the numbers work

LineValue
Gross amount1,000.000000 USDC
Service fee (1.5%)15.000000 USDC
Estimated network feecalculated separately
Estimated net amount1,000 − 15 − network fee

If the estimated network fee is 0.002 ETH on an Ethereum transaction, the net amount is the gross minus 15 USDC minus the equivalent of that network cost — displayed in the asset's own unit when an estimate is available, otherwise shown as a separate field.

Rounds and delay do not change the fee

The fee is the same whether you pick one round or five, and whether you pick a zero delay or a 72-hour delay. Rounds and delay affect the strength of the separation between your input and your output, not the price. This is deliberate: pricing privacy per round pushes users toward the weakest option, which is the opposite of what a privacy mixer should do.

Precision

Amounts are computed in integer units, so decimal results never suffer from rounding. Each asset has its native decimal limit (BTC = 8, ETH = 18, USDC = 6) and inputs with more decimals than that are rejected. The full decimals table is on the supported assets page.

The fee is deducted from the payout itself. The fee is deducted from the payout at the rate you picked.
