Bitcoin Mixer
Mix BTC anonymously · fee you set, 0.1–1.5% · No KYC
Northmix is a Bitcoin mixer that breaks the on-chain link between the BTC you send and the BTC you receive. You deposit coins from any wallet, the service pays you out from a separate output pool, and the result is unlinkable coins that cannot be traced back to your original deposit. There is no account, no email and no identity check. The full flow is explained on the how it works page.
What is a Bitcoin mixer?
A Bitcoin mixer (also called a BTC mixer or Bitcoin tumbler) is a privacy service that accepts BTC from one address and pays out BTC to a different address from a pooled output. Because the output coins did not come from your deposit address, a third party watching the blockchain cannot draw a direct line from your input to your output. The mixer exists because the Bitcoin ledger is public: every transaction is visible, and without mixing, your wallet history can be reconstructed by anyone with a block explorer.
Northmix is a privacy mixer rather than a CoinJoin alternative that coordinates multi-party transactions in public. The deposit and the payout happen at different times, from different addresses, with optional rounds and delay that further weaken timing-based correlation. The result is a stronger break of the on-chain link than a single CoinJoin round, while keeping the user experience simple.
How to mix Bitcoin
Mixing Bitcoin on Northmix takes three steps from the app:
- Enter a payout address. Use a fresh BTC address that has no on-chain history tied to your deposit wallet. The payout address is where the mixed coins will land.
- Send BTC to the deposit address. Northmix generates a one-time deposit address on the Bitcoin network. Send your coins there from any wallet, then submit the public transaction hash so the service can verify the deposit.
- Receive clean coins. Once verification completes, the service pays out to your payout address from its output pool. The coins you receive are not the coins you sent.
You can choose between one and five rounds, and a delay of 0 to 72 hours between deposit confirmation and payout. More rounds and a longer delay produce stronger separation from your input at the cost of a slower flow. The fee you set is deducted from your payout regardless of the rounds and delay you pick, as described on the fees page.
Is mixing Bitcoin legal?
Mixing Bitcoin is legal in most jurisdictions. It is a privacy tool, used by people who do not want their full wallet balance, salary or savings publicly traceable. That said, the legal status of mixing services varies by country and changes over time. You are responsible for understanding the rules that apply to you, including any tax reporting obligations on the coins you receive. Northmix does not provide legal advice and does not make any claim about absolute anonymity.
Northmix is not designed to help anyone hide proceeds of crime. The service is designed for ordinary privacy: protecting your balance from being indexed by data brokers, preventing merchants from linking every payment you make, and giving you the same expectation of financial privacy that cash provides. See the FAQ for more on legality and operational use.
Why use a BTC mixer?
The Bitcoin blockchain is a permanent, public record. Without mixing, anyone who learns one of your addresses can trace backwards and forwards through your transaction graph: who paid you, who you paid, how much you hold, and where the coins went next. This is a real privacy problem for ordinary users.
- Break on-chain link. A mixer separates your deposit from your payout so the two cannot be connected by tracing the ledger.
- Unlinkable coins. The coins you receive come from a separate output pool, not from your deposit address.
- No KYC. There is no sign-up, no email and no identity check. The flow runs in the browser and collects no personal data.
- No logs. No wallet data is stored to
browser storage, sessionStorageor cookies, and outbound explorer links open withrel="noopener noreferrer nofollow".
Northmix also supports mixing for ETH, USDT, USDC, LTC, SOL and BNB. For multi-asset mixing, see the crypto tumbler page.
No KYC, no logs
Northmix is a no KYC mixer. Northmix never asks for a seed phrase or a private key and rejects input that looks like one. The only data handled in memory is the selected asset and network, the amount, the public transaction hash, the public transaction reference, and the public payout address. The security model is on the security page, and the data handling policy is on the privacy page.
